Quick take
Large grub with ribbon tail and salt flavor for bass in weeds and timber.
The Zoom Bait Fat Albert Grub in Pumpkin comes in a pack of ten, each one 5 inches long and made for bass anglers. Its ribbon tail moves through the water and can be rigged on a jig, on a Texas rig, or as a trailer on a hook. One pack gives you enough soft plastics to try several rigging setups across a day on the water.
Best for
- Flipping and pitching into thick matted vegetation
- Texas rigging on bullet weights for weed-free retrieves
- Jig trailers on football jigs in depth
Skip if
- You fish clear water and need more subtle baits
- You want smaller profiles for panfish
Strengths
- Ribbon tail creates high water displacement and vibration
- Salt impregnation makes bass hold longer for hooksets
- Pumpkin color balances visibility in stained and clear water
Trade-offs

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
