Quick take
A 4-inch salt-impregnated Japanese-style stick worm with natural action on finesse presentations for bass and panfish.
The Zoom Centipede is a 4-inch finesse worm sold in packs of 20, with a symmetrical French-fry style body that glides and darts with little rod movement. Its salt-infused soft plastic suits shaky heads, Carolina rigs and drop shots, so it fits anglers working light finesse presentations.
Best for
- Finesse fishing on shakey heads or finesse jig heads
- Carolina rig presentations in subtle conditions
- Targeting pressured fish that ignore bulkier baits
Skip if
- You need a larger profile for deeper water or faster retrieves
- You prefer curved tail worms with built-in action
Strengths
- Salt impregnation keeps fish holding on longer for better hookups
- Versatile style works on multiple rig types
- Japanese design creates subtle motion even on light line
Trade-offs
- 4 inches limits effectiveness in deeper water
- Requires light jig head or hook to maintain finesse presentation
- May slide down finesse heads if not Texas-rigged correctly

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
