Quick take
An 8-pack of 7-inch black Magnum Trick worms designed for dragging and crawling across the bottom.
The Zoom Magnum Trick worm in green pumpkin is 7 inches long and floating, packed eight to a pack. Its buoyancy keeps it higher in the water column, which suits anglers who want to present a worm above cover. Green pumpkin is a common choice on many lakes.
Best for
- Largemouth bass in heavy cover and shallow water
- Dragging worms slowly across muddy or weedy bottoms
- Night fishing when dark colors are less visible to cautious bass
Skip if
- You fish open water with finesse presentations
- You need a lighter-colored worm for clear water
Strengths
- 7-inch length displaces water and creates vibration on slow retrieves
- Black color absorbs light, making it effective in stained or dark water
- Soft plastic is versatile and works on various head styles
Trade-offs
- Black color is harder to see during the retrieve, limiting bite detection
- Soft plastic is not durable against sharp teeth or rocks
- 7 inches is large; smaller bass may not be able to swallow the worm

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
