Quick take

Floating artificial eggs with Gulp scent that mimics real salmon eggs, won't dry out or fall off the hook.

Best for

  • Trout and steelhead under a float
  • Egg loop rigs and tight-line nymphing
  • Fly anglers wanting an egg imitation

Skip if

  • You prefer live bait over artificial
  • You fish saltwater where eggs are less effective

Strengths

  • Float naturally without added buoyancy aids
  • Stay on hook through casting and fighting
  • Gulp scent spreads quickly in cold water

Trade-offs

  • Plastic eggs don't behave exactly like real eggs
  • Orange color visible to other anglers but not subtle
  • Limited to trout and salmon species
