Quick take
A saltwater-grade grease for reel maintenance that provides smooth drag and protects against corrosion.
This is a 1-ounce container of tan grease for star drag washers and reel gears. It is the standard-thickness formula, with PTFE in the blend and protection aimed at saltwater use on aluminum, steel and brass. Anglers who service their own reels will find it suits larger reels.
Best for
- Greasing drag systems on all reel types
- Freshwater and saltwater reel maintenance
- Year-round corrosion prevention
Skip if
- You use reel oil instead of grease
- You do not maintain your reels
Strengths
- Compatible with all common reel materials and seals
- Saltwater corrosion protection works on aluminum and steel
- Smooth, consistent drag performance
Trade-offs
- 1 ounce is small; one jar serves many reels
- Grease can creep out if over-applied
- Requires knowledge of where to apply grease on each reel
