Quick take
Seven inch titanium fishing pliers with replaceable cobalt-titanium cutters, designed to slice braided line, fluorocarbon, and light wire.
These 7-inch pliers are machined from solid titanium, a material that resists saltwater corrosion and keeps the weight low at about 1.1 pounds with the kit. The Super Halo Hinge handles the opening and closing, and the replaceable cobalt-titanium side cutters handle braid, mono, fluorocarbon and light wire. A leather belt-loop sheath and elastic lanyard come in the box, which suits inshore and offshore anglers who want hook removal and line cutting on one tool.
Best for
- Saltwater fishing where corrosion is a concern
- Anglers using braided line that dulls traditional cutters
- Anyone who wants a tool that lasts a lifetime
Skip if
- Those uncomfortable spending on tool replacement
Strengths
- Titanium construction is lighter and stronger than steel
- Replaceable cutters stay sharp for braided and fluorocarbon line
- Lifetime warranty backs the tool against defects
Trade-offs
- Replaceable cutters are an ongoing expense
- Less holding power on fish than heavier pliers
Fishing fit
- Water
- Saltwater
- Freshwater
