Quick take
A collapsible trap net with rubber-coated mesh for catching minnows, crayfish, shrimp and other bait species.
This Drasry folding net trap is a round, 39.4 by 31.5 inch rubber-coated nylon net with fine 6 by 4 mm mesh, made for catching bait-sized animals like minnows, shrimp and crayfish. It packs down into a carry bag and comes with a bait bag, a float and a long hand rope, so you only need to add bait. Anglers fishing from a pier, bridge or lake bank can use it to gather live bait before they start fishing.
Best for
- Collecting live minnows for pike and bass bait
- Trapping crayfish and freshwater shrimp
- Pier and shore bait collection
Skip if
- You need a cast net for open water
- You target large fish species directly
Strengths
- Rubber-coated mesh resists tearing and lasts through repeated use
- Fine mesh catches small baitfish and crustaceans efficiently
- Folds flat for transport and storage
Trade-offs
- Rubber coating adds weight compared to bare nylon nets
- Setup and retrieval time is longer than casting
- Frame size limits deployment in tight spaces or vegetation
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
