Quick take
Mesh-reinforced TPE shrimp bait strips with proven scent that stay on the hook cast-after-cast for saltwater fishing.
This is a pair of 12-inch by half-inch shrimp-scented bait strips in a flesh and pink color, made for saltwater fishing. A mesh binder through the center helps each piece stay put on the hook through repeated casts. Cut a length, hook it, and cast it, either on a bare hook or as a trailer on a jig or skirt.
Best for
- Pier and inshore saltwater fishing for pompano, permit and other panfish
- Bottom rigs for catfish and snapper in warm saltwater
- Anglers who want consistent bait that does not fall apart
Skip if
- You prefer live or fresh shrimp bait only
- You fish only cool freshwater
Strengths
- Mesh reinforcement in the middle keeps the bait on the hook through multiple casts
- Proven scent formula melts slowly in water and attracts fish without getting hands smelly
- TPE material is soft and lifelike so fish hold on longer without spitting it out
Trade-offs
- Artificial bait does not match live shrimp exactly in scent or texture
- TPE can harden or crack if stored in extreme cold or heat
- Small 0.5 in width requires proper rigging to stay centered on the hook
