Quick take
A large translucent-lid tackle box with 18 Zerust anti-rust dividers for marine storage.
The Flambeau 5007 Tuff Tainer is a shallow, clear-plastic box for hooks, jigs and small lures, with removable dividers you can arrange into up to 36 compartments. The dividers carry Zerust, a vapor-phase rust inhibitor aimed at metal tackle. A see-through lid and base let you spot what is inside without opening it, and it is made in the U.S.A.
Best for
- Organizing and storing tackle for multiple trips
- Saltwater fishing where corrosion is a concern
- Separating and protecting diverse tackle types
Skip if
- Portable fishing; this is large and heavy
- Quick-access fishing during the day
Strengths
- 18 adjustable dividers create up to 36 compartments
- Zerust VCI formula protects metal for up to 5 years
- Clear lid and base allow identification without opening
Trade-offs
- Large size makes it hard to carry on a single trip
- Zerust protection is internal; exposed metal still rusts
- Dividers can get lost if not organized
