Quick take

Lightweight aluminum knot pulling tool that provides mechanical advantage for tying tight FG and GT knots when joining leader to main line.

Best for

  • Anglers who tie FG knots frequently
  • Situations where hand strength alone cannot tighten knots
  • Lightweight saltwater and braided line setups

Skip if

  • You tie improved clinch knots and don't need a puller
  • You have arthritis or hand strength limitations that make any tool difficult

Strengths

  • Non-slip design grips the angler's hand securely
  • Lightweight and easy to carry in a tackle bag
  • Aluminum resists saltwater corrosion

Trade-offs

  • Requires practice to learn proper knot tying technique
  • Only works for FG and GT knots; not a general-purpose tool
  • Does not automate the full knot-tying process
