Quick take

A telescoping fishing net with 40 inch reach, knotless nylon mesh, and aluminum handle that clips to belt for portable carry.

Best for

  • Bank and wading fishing where hands are needed
  • Catch-and-release presentations protecting fish scales
  • Kids and adult fishing in fresh or saltwater

Skip if

  • You fish very large saltwater species requiring big nets
  • You need a boat net with longer reach

Strengths

  • Knotless hexagonal mesh prevents scale damage on catch-and-release
  • Telescoping aluminum handle balances reach with packability
  • Belt clip keeps net accessible without carrying in hand

Trade-offs

  • Telescoping handle can stick or jam with salt and sand
  • Triangular head is slower to flip closed than traditional round nets
  • 40 inch extended reach requires some practice to use smoothly

  • Freshwater
