Quick take
Classic open-shank hook for live bait and bottom rigs in fresh and saltwater.
This is a classic Aberdeen hook from Mustad in size 2, with a blued finish and a ringed eye. The thin wire and chemically sharpened point suit light-bite fishing for panfish and similar species. A pack holds 100 hooks, which makes it handy for anglers who rig their own baits and replace hooks often.
Best for
- Worm fishing with live bait on floats
- Bottom rigs for saltwater catfish and roughfish
- Multi-species freshwater bait fishing
Skip if
- Catch-and-release where hook damage is a concern
