Quick take
Size 2/0 octopus hooks with a reversed beak point and needle tip, sized for live and cut bait in natural fishing.
Best for
- Live bait fishing in freshwater and saltwater
- Bottom fishing for small to medium catfish and panfish
- General bait fishing in ponds and slow rivers
Skip if
- You need circle hooks for catch-and-release
- You fish very small baits requiring size 4 or smaller
Strengths
- Needle point penetrates quickly on the strike
- Reversed beak point prevents bait from slipping or spinning
- Bronze finish is resistant to rust in freshwater and corrosion in saltwater
Trade-offs
- Needle point bends on hard strikes; not ideal for very large fish
