Quick take

A lightweight carbon fiber inline ice reel with an 8-piece magnetic drop system for precise vertical jigging on the ice.

This is a left-hand inline ice reel with a carbon frame and an aluminum spool, with the spool and handle on the same side so the remaining line is easy to see. An eight-magnet brake lets you fine-tune how fast a jig drops, and a free-spool lever makes one-handed drops and quick stops simple. It runs a 2.7:1 ratio, 7+1 shielded bearings and up to 12 pounds of drag, with room for roughly 4 lb line at 213 yards, which suits walleye and pike on the ice.

Best for

  • Vertical jigging through the ice
  • Panfish and walleye ice fishing
  • Anglers who want smooth drop control

Skip if

  • You need high line capacity
  • You fish open water

Strengths

  • Carbon fiber frame is light without sacrificing strength
  • Magnetic drop system gives precise fall speed control
  • Spool and handle on same side lets you see remaining line

Trade-offs

  • Limited line capacity suits only ice jigging
  • 2.7:1 ratio is slow for fast retrieves
  • Inline design is specialized to ice fishing only
