Quick take
Clear plastic tackle box with vapor corrosion inhibitor coating that keeps terminal tackle and components rust-free for months.
The Rustrictor Stowaway 3700 Deep is a clear plastic utility box from Plano, made in the USA, with extra depth over the standard 3700 at about 14 by 9 inches and 3.25 inches tall. Adjustable dividers let you set up between 4 and 15 compartments, so bulkier lures and tackle fit alongside smaller items. The walls are infused with a vapor corrosion inhibitor meant to keep metal hooks and hardware free of rust, and it also suits tools, batteries and small parts.
Best for
- Storing hooks, weights, and small components
- Tackle protection during storage between fishing trips
- Organizing saltwater terminal tackle
Skip if
- You prefer soft bags for easy portability
- You need high rod and reel storage
Strengths
- Vapor corrosion inhibitor technology blocks rust five times longer than competitor products
- Adjustable dividers create custom compartment layouts
- Clear plastic lets you quickly locate items
Trade-offs
- Plastic material can become brittle in cold temperatures
- VCI coating does not affect all metals equally
- Deep model means limited depth for organization
