Quick take
Lightweight wood slip bobber with LED light and adjustable spring for crappie and panfish.
This is a four-pack of 1.75-inch lighted slip bobbers made from light wood, with an LED you can switch on for night fishing. A rotating spring sets your fishing depth, so you can adjust it to the water you are working. The float slides freely when a fish bites, which suits crappie, walleye, trout and panfish anglers fishing after dark. Without the battery, the bright colors still work as a daytime float.
Best for
- Night crappie and panfish fishing
- Adjustable-depth float fishing in varied water conditions
- Daytime visibility from a distance with bright colors
Skip if
- You fish only topwater lures
- You fish in heavy current
Strengths
- Lightweight wood design is more sensitive than cork or plastic
- LED with lithium battery is brighter and longer-lasting than glow sticks
- Spring adjustment lets you change depth without refloating rig
Trade-offs
- Small 1.75-inch size limits wind casting capability
- Wood construction is delicate; can crack or chip if dropped
- LED requires battery replacement when power fades
