Quick take
A balanced jigging minnow with single hooks that rises and falls on a vertical jig for panfish and bass.
A Rapala jigging lure in a purple finish, sold as a single lure. It is set up for casting or spinning gear and aimed at bass anglers who want a compact jigging profile.
Best for
- Ice fishing through the hole
- Vertical jigging in deep holes
- Panfish and small bass
Skip if
- You cast in open water
- You need a lure that suspends steadily
Strengths
- Balanced design creates natural rise-and-fall action
- Single reversed hooks reduce fouling in tight jigging
- Chrome blue finish works in stained to clear water
Trade-offs
- Single hooks do not hook fish as reliably as treble hooks
- At 3.5 in and 0.07 oz, the lure drops slowly through the water
- Works best in vertical jigging, not casting

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
