Quick take
A hard-body baitfish lure with a soft curly tail that wafts and pulses during recovery.
The Live Perch colorway of the 9.84-inch X-Rap Otus is a hybrid bait with a soft curl tail that pulses behind a body rolling side to side on the retrieve. It runs between 1.6 and 3.3 feet deep. When paused, the tail acts as a parachute, which keeps the lure steady as it sinks.
Best for
- Cold water and harsh conditions where subtle action works
- Pike and walleye that respond to hybrid presentations
- Casting and trolling in weeds and timber
Skip if

- You need a floating lure
Strengths
- Soft tail provides pulsing action that hard lures cannot match
- Hard body handles snags and plant material
- 6-point stainless tail lock system is durable and replaceable

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
