Quick take
A 5X fluorocarbon tippet in 30m spools with 15% higher knot strength than previous formulations.
This is a clear fluorocarbon tippet in 5X, a fine size for fly anglers tying on small trout flies. Its line strength is 4.6 lb, and it comes on a spool with a built-in cutter, with a silicone band to shield the line from sunlight. The soft, supple material suits drag-free drifts in clear water.
Best for
- Dry fly fishing for selective trout
- Clear water where line visibility matters
- Anglers who tie fine knots consistently
Skip if
- You fish size 10 or larger flies; use 3X or 4X
- You need extra stretch for soft presentations
Strengths
