Quick take

A neoprene cover that protects spinning reels on or off the rod from scratches and corrosion.

This is a black neoprene cover in medium that slips over a spinning reel to keep it protected between trips. It fits reels in the 2000 to 6000 size range and works on left or right hand setups. It can go on while the reel is still mounted on the rod, which makes it easy to use in the truck or boat.

Best for

  • Storing spinning reels between trips
  • Protecting reels during transport or boating
  • Reducing corrosion exposure in humid storage

Skip if

  • You own baitcasting or conventional reels
  • You want daily easy-on and easy-off access

Strengths

  • Neoprene is durable and resists abrasion
  • Fits on the reel with or without the rod attached
  • Ambidextrous design works for left or right-hand reels

Trade-offs

  • Neoprene can retain moisture if not dried between uses
  • Covers only the reel; does not protect rod guides
  • Medium size is limited to specific reel sizes
