Quick take

A super-finesse ice rod with a patented spring indicator built in, sized for sensitive jigging under the ice.

This 24-inch, ultra-light ice rod is built for finesse presentations on panfish such as crappie, bluegill and perch. A solid carbon blank is paired with a built-in spring indicator that you can adjust or swap, so subtle bites show up before you would feel them. Pac Bay Minima guides and a split EVA grip keep it light and comfortable in cold hands.

Best for

  • Panfish and crappie through ice
  • Jigging light spoons and tiny baits
  • Detecting subtle strikes in cold water

Skip if

  • You need a rod for open water
  • You fish large pike or walleye

Strengths

  • Patented spring indicator shows the slightest bumps before you feel them
  • Precision-taper carbon blank stays responsive in cold
  • Compact 24 in length is ideal for tight ice house spaces

Trade-offs

  • Spring indicator takes practice to adjust for different fish sizes
  • Ultra-light power means you must be careful with hook-setting
  • Not suitable for open water fishing
