Quick take
A 4-inch creature bait with arms, side flaps and flowing tentacles for gliding presentations on texas rigs and carolina rigs.
This 4-inch Yamamoto Kreature is a soft plastic creature bait with side flaps and a trailing skirt of tentacles that keep water moving as it falls. It comes as a 7-pack in June Bug Purple with emerald flake. Anglers pitch it into cover on a Texas rig or fish it on a Carolina rig, and it also works as a trailer.
Best for
- Flipping and pitching around brush and wood
- Carolina rigs dragged along the bottom
- Free rigs over deep brush piles
Skip if
- You want a compact profile; use a smaller finesse worm
- You fish open water without cover
Strengths
- Salt-infused plastic attracts fish and holds scent
- Multiple appendages create water movement on the fall
- Durable construction withstands multiple casts and bites
Trade-offs
- Large profile limits effectiveness on pressured bass
- Requires heavier rigs to present properly through cover
- Wings can foul on hooks or split rings during casting

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
