Quick take
A 3-inch soft plastic grub with a fat ribbed body and slightly oversized curly tail for multi-species fishing.
The 2-inch YUM Grub in smoke and silver flake is a small soft plastic grub with a ribbed body and a thin curly tail. Cast it out and retrieve it with an erratic action to imitate a wounded baitfish, in clear or stained water. A bag holds 18 baits.
Best for
- Jigging off the bottom for panfish and crappie
- Bass fishing with finesse techniques in light cover
- Anglers who want a versatile soft plastic that works on many species
Skip if
- You need a lifelike baitfish profile
- You fish very clear water where the chunky grub profile is obvious
Strengths
- Oversized curly tail creates big swimming action on small profile
- Fat, ribbed body shape produces erratic wounded-baitfish motion
- Works in both clear and stained water due to chunky action
Trade-offs
- The grub profile is less realistic than natural forage shapes
- Soft plastic wears out quickly when catching many fish
- White color stands out in clear water; other colors may be better

About this type
