Quick take
A 5 in salt-impregnated soft jerk shad with natural mullet scent and a split tail for weedless saltwater rigging.
This 5-inch Pearl jerk shad comes five to a pack and is made of soft, salt-infused ElaZtech with a split tail. A slot in the body lets you rig it weedless or weightless for a fluttering fall. It suits anglers working inshore water for redfish and trout, or twitching it for bass.
Best for
- Inshore saltwater species like snook and redfish
- Bottom structure in bays and estuaries
- Jig head and weighted presentations
Skip if
- You want a lightweight bait for long casts on light tackle
- You fish freshwater lakes where saltwater lures are overkill
Strengths
- 100% natural Pro-Cure mullet scent triggers aggressive strikes
- 10X Tough construction handles the harsh saltwater environment
- Split tail with hook slot enables weedless rigging and solid hooksets
Trade-offs
- Natural scent dissipates faster than artificial alternatives
- 5 inch size and salt impregnation make this heavier than standard plastics

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
