Quick take
3/8 oz bladed jig with hex ChatterBlade combining spinnerbait flash with jig action.
This 3/8 ounce chartreuse ChatterBait is a bladed jig for bass, pairing a vibrating hex blade with a jig-style body. It can be fished fast or slow across the water column, and a soft plastic trailer adds bulk and action. A medium weight like this one covers a wide range of depths.
Best for
- Deep structure and ledge fishing
- Fast-moving water and current
- Covering water quickly
Skip if
- You want a silent presentation
- You fish shallow weeds
Strengths
- Chatter blade vibrates and flashes to attract fish
- Does not hydroplane on fast retrieves
- Works at any depth by varying retrieve speed
Trade-offs
- Blade vibration creates drag reducing casting distance
- Heavy chatterbait requires practice to fish effectively

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
