Quick take

Five weighted swimbait hooks with screw-lock bait keepers and matching pegs to secure soft plastics.

A five-pack of weighted swimbait hooks in 3/16 oz with a 4/0 hook, aimed at bass anglers rigging paddletail swimbaits and flukes. Each pack includes five bait pegs that hold the soft plastic in place on the shank. The knife-edge point and black nickel finish suit anglers who want a weighted hook that keeps the bait riding straight.

Best for

  • Soft plastic swimbait rigging
  • Bass fishing with 4-6 inch swimbaits
  • Anglers using Zoom, Yamamoto, or Strike King plastics

Skip if

  • You prefer unweighted hooks
  • You rig swimbaits with tied knots

Strengths

  • Screw-lock keeper prevents plastics from sliding during cast
  • Bait pegs keep soft plastic pegged and secure
  • Chemically sharpened point requires minimal touching

Trade-offs

  • Additional weight reduces casting distance
  • Bait pegs can damage delicate soft plastics
  • Heavier than traditional hooks for rigging technique
