Quick take
A versatile 5 in soft plastic worm suited for Texas, Carolina, and wacky rigs, weighted or weightless.
This is a 5 inch Yum Dinger in the Bulk Elders color, a straight stick-style soft plastic for bass and panfish. It can be rigged Texas, Carolina or wacky style, weighted or weightless, and a molded slot along the body helps seat the hook. It comes as a 30 count bag, so a day of rerigging does not mean running out.
Best for
- Bass fishing with jigs or drop-shot rigs
- Wacky rigging on a single hook
- Pressured bass on light tackle
Skip if
- You need a larger bait for big bass
- You prefer craws or creature baits
Strengths
- Unique hook slot helps the worm seat properly and hold
- Tough plastic construction outlasts similar soft plastics
- Works weighted, weightless, Texas-rigged, or wacky-rigged
Trade-offs
- Subtle action requires a skilled retrieve
- Best suited for freshwater bass, not saltwater
- Hook slot means the worm is not reusable after heavy use

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
